Co-founded in 2015, NALFPC is committed to improving access to high-quality psychiatric care through a collaborative practice model led by double board-certified psychiatrist Anika Wilson, M.D., and supported by experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs). Our team provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and advanced treatment options, including NeuroStar® Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), delivering personalized, evidence-based psychiatric care across the lifespan.

Dr. Anika Wilson is dedicated to providing comprehensive psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. After completing her residency in General Psychiatry and fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, she entered private practice in Madison, Alabama, in 2008 and has been serving the families of North Alabama ever since.
As Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of North Alabama Family Psychiatry & Counseling since 2015, Dr. Wilson leads a collaborative psychiatric practice with experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP-BCs) focused on improving access to high-quality psychiatric care throughout North Alabama. Together, the team provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and advanced treatment options, including NeuroStar® Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adults with treatment-resistant depression.

NeuroStar® TMS Therapy
Advanced, non-invasive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) for adolescents and adults with treatment-resistant depression, as well as adults with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Our providers perform a comprehensive evaluation to determine whether NeuroStar® TMS is an appropriate treatment option based on each patient's diagnosis, treatment history, and current FDA-approved indications.
ADHD Evaluations
Comprehensive ADHD evaluations that combine an in-depth psychiatric assessment with objective cognitive testing, when appropriate, to accurately diagnose attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder and guide individualized treatment recommendations.
